That high pressure ridge is still going to sit right over west Texas today, which means more of what we saw on Monday. High pressure has sinking air, so clouds can’t really get to forming. The sunshine, along with wind from the south-southwest will pump in very warm air. Highs will, once again, climb to the low 90s this afternoon. Lubbock will see a high of 92°, with mid & upper 90s off the Caprock.

Tomorrow will still see the high pressure controlling the weather across the Lonestar State. The sun is going to be the dominating factor tomorrow as the weather will remind us that it’s still summer. Wind will remain light, from the south at 5-10 mph. South wind will still bring in warm air, as Lubbock will see a high temperature of 90°. The moisture will be gone, so at least things will begin to feel better.
