We saw a weak cold front move into the area last night & it will clear the western counties this morning. This will bring a wind shift & cooler air down from the north this afternoon. Expect mostly sunny skies today, with lower highs. Lubbock will see a high of 77°, with wind at 10-15 mph. Texas Tech hosts Kansas tonight,m with a kickoff temperature of 73°. Temperatures will drop to the mid 60s in the second half, but it will feel like the upper 50s with wind at 10-15 mph, so dress warm!
There will be very cool air in the area by tomorrow morning. With mainly clear conditions & light wind overnight, lows will easily drop into the upper 40s. Lubbock will get down to 49°, with low 40s along the state line. We’ll see increasing clouds tomorrow, with light wind. So, highs will be staying in the upper 70s, which will be below average. Take warm clothes to the high school football games tomorrow night.
