Today saw just thin clouds moving through the area. That did not have an effect on the temperatures for most of the area. There will thicker clouds in our southern counties, which trapped that colder air at the surface. Tonight will see partly cloudy skies area-wide. It will be a cold start to the day tomorrow, as lows will dip back down into the mid 20s. So, bundle up as you head out tomorrow morning.
The skies will be sunny for Tuesday. After that cold start, we’ll actually see high temperatures climb up above average for Lubbock & the entire area. In fact, we’ll hit 60° here in Lubbock, while temperatures will be closer to 63° north of us & in the Rolling Plains. The wind will return tomorrow afternoon, as sustained wind will be between 10-15 mph out of the west. The westerly component to the wind is what will bring in warmer air.
