Good Evening:
We had a few showers and thunderstorms pop up late Friday afternoon and evening across the South Plains. These did not last very long and pretty much rained themselves out. Expect partly cloudy conditions across the area this evening and tonight.
Other than a few clouds in the morning, Saturday looks to be a nice and warm day across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains with highs in the lower to middle 90s.
The extended forecast shows no significant weather expected across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains into next week. Mostly sunny each day with highs in the lower 90s and overnight lows in the middle to upper 60s. Little or no rain chances are expected. A stray storm could pop up in any random location in the afternoon and early evening. However, the probably is very low.
Summer is just around the corner! The Summer Solstice will occur on Sunday, June 21 at 11:38 AM CT.
