The pattern changes by midweek as the air will stay cool, but showers and thunderstorms enter the forecast. A low pressure system is going to move close to the area on Wednesday, which will help to pull in more moisture to west Texas. Skies will be cloudy and we’ll see showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon at 30%. Highs will only be in the low 70s and could actually drop in any shower, or storm that you see.

There will be another shot at showers and thunderstorms on Thursday, as well. The timing is looking to be before 1:00 pm, but any shower, or storm could linger on into the afternoon. Coverage is, once again, looking to be 30%. We desperately need the rainfall and it is looking like some areas will be helped out by this low pressure system and rain.
