The weather concerns shift to flooding for the weekend. Showers & thunderstorms will cover 60% of the area Saturday & 50% on Sunday. With more than 250% of normal moisture in the air, flooding is going to be seen in streams, playa lakes & roadways. So, if you must travel, please use extreme caution over the weekend. Some locations will pick up 2-4″ of rain.
Doesn’t sound like much? Well, one inch of rain is equal to one gallon of water, per one square foot of your yard. So, 2-4″ of rain is going to be like 2-4 gallons of water in only one square foot of property. We will be seeing the flooding pretty quickly, so do not travel unless you have to. Be prepared for rapidly rising water over the weekend & of course, stay safe!
