The next shot at seeing thunderstorms will be after midnight Wednesday morning. Across the board, we’re looking at 30% through 6:00 am. Then, Wednesday afternoon, we’re looking at 20% of the area getting some thunderstorms. Rain totals will be much lighter, since those storms will be lighter. Otherwise, we’ll see mostly sunny skies, with highs in the upper 70s.
Highs will jump up into the lower 80s as we move into the weekend, under mostly sunny skies. We will be watching Sunday afternoon for some isolated thunderstorms. Right now, it’s still a tricky forecast this week, especially that far out. But, the conditions will be right to see some thunderstorms entering portions of the South Plains.
