Sunday morning is looking to be chilly and even quite cold in our northwestern counties. The coldest air will be in Parmer, Castro and Bailey Counties. Lows there will get near 34° Sunday morning. So, it is looking like we’ll see a light frost to the northwest. Cover the plants up to stay safe. Sunday afternoon will be under high pressure, so expect sunny skies with light wind and a high of 70°.
The early part of Monday is shaping up to remain chilly. Lows will drop down into the upper 40s for Lubbock and upper 30s to the northwest. The afternoon will continue with the sunny skies, thanks to high pressure. The air will warm up Monday, thanks to the flow returning to the southwest. Wind will be at 10-15 mph, with gusts to 30 mph at times. Highs will be able to climb up to the upper 80s for most, low 90s in the Rolling Plains and low 80s to the northwest.
