Your wardrobe this week is going to be completely out of whack. Behind this cold front, you’ll see lows dropping down into the mid 30s on Wednesday morning. Some spots to the northwest will be near freezing. Since it’s planting time, we’ll have to keep an eye on locations that get to 32°, or lower. The afternoon is going to see sunny skies, but Lubbock is only going to reach a high temperature of 64°. Wind will be at 15-20 mph, so things will feel even cooler.

Finally, by Thursday morning, lows will once more be in the 30s. Expect upper 30s across most of the area, with mid 30s along the state line. It will be another sunny afternoon. Thankfully, the wind is going to be light, sustained at 5-10 mph. That will help to keep it warm, as the southerly flow will pump that warmer air into the region. Highs will be slightly above average, as Lubbock will reach 74°.
