KLBK Midday Web Forecast April 4, 2017

The warm-up will once again happen by Thursday. The morning will begin with low temperatures once again in the mid and upper 30s. By the afternoon, we’ll be seeing sunny skies with light wind. The flow will be from the south-southwest, which will bring in that warmer air. So, expect highs to be in the mid 70s for Lubbock, with upper 70s possible in the Rolling Plains. This will help to lead to a warmer air mass as we move into the weekend.

The end of the week/beginning of the weekend will show more sunshine and higher temperatures. We won’t be as cold Friday morning, as we only dip down into the mid 40s. The wind will increase in the morning and early afternoon. Sustained wind is going to be at 10-15 mph, with the higher end wind reaching 25 mph. We’ll see mostly sunny skies, with a high of 78° in Lubbock, with low 80s easily in the Rolling Plains.
