There will be puffy cumulus clouds moving through the area for Friday. They won’t give us too many breaks from the sunshine and warm air. Our wind is going to remain at 10-15 mph in the area. The afternoon will be warmer, as highs will climb up to the upper 70s, low 80s in the Rolling Plains. The south wind that we will experience is the reason why we’ll get warmer air as we head into the weekend. The wind will pick up by Sunday, so keep that in mind.
The skies will clear from the few clouds we’ll get Friday. So, we return to sunny skies and dry weather. The wind will hold, once more, at 10-15 mph from the southwest. This is going to aide in bringing in very warm air. Temperatures will soar up to the upper 80s for highs in central counties. The Rolling Plains will see highs in the low 90s. So be ready for sunscreen and light clothing for outdoor activities, because you will need them.
