Expect much of the same conditions by midweek across the area. Highs are going to stay in the mid 90s for most of the area, with the exception of upper 90s in the Rolling Plains. The pattern will begin to change by Friday, as the high pressure moves out of the area. That will lead to more moisture coming back into west Texas. You will certainly be able to notice that by early Saturday morning as the air returns to the sticky feeling.

Thunderstorms are basically non-existent this week. The northwest counties may see one, or two on Tuesday, or Wednesday but the coverage & probability remains very low; less than 10%. However, by Friday-Sunday, enough moisture could be around that we’ll get some thunderstorms across the area. Probability is still looking less than 10% right now, but hopefully that changes. I will keep an eye on it.
