The thunderstorms will cause some flooding across the low Rolling Plains on Saturday afternoon. The heaviest rain for Lubbock will be between midnight & 6:00 am Saturday. Lubbock will get anywhere between .90-1.20″ of rain through Saturday morning. There will be some street & playa lake flooding. The cold front will move through after 6:00 am, so the heaviest rain shifts to the southeast. Coverage of storms will be 50% on Saturday, with Lubbock getting to a high of 81°.

By Sunday, there will be lingering showers & storms through noon. The front will move well to the southeast by Saturday afternoon, so drier air will move into the region on Sunday. Any leftover showers & thunderstorms will be at 10% for Sunday morning. The afternoon should be dry, but an isolated storm can’t be ruled out, especially in the southeastern counties. Lubbock will see a high of 84° on Sunday afternoon.
