Sunday is going to see partly sunny skies. Leftover thunderstorms will be seen in the Rolling Plains. So, coverage isn’t great, at 10%, but at least a few areas will get some rain on Sunday. Lubbock is trending more dry for Sunday, but you should still have rain gear in your car if you’re going anywhere. Highs will stay in the low 80s Sunday for most, mid 80s for the Rolling Plains.

Kids head back to school on Monday & things will not be feeling like August at all! There will be cloudy skies leftover, which will help to keep highs down in the low 80s. I can’t rule out isolated showers & thunderstorms, at 20%, throughout the day on Monday, especially in the Rolling Plains. Otherwise, the rest of us will stay dry, but cloudy & on the cool side, which is quite alright for late August!
