There will not be many changes at all over the next several days as this summer time pattern of warm & dry weather holds on. High pressure will begin to move to the east by the end of the week. That means that we will just continue to see dry conditions. There will be mostly sunny skies, but those clouds will offer little in the way of relief from the warmth. Highs stay in the upper 90s for Lubbock all the way through Saturday afternoon.

The tropical system in the Caribbean is now forecast to stay well south of Texas & most of the Gulf. It will bring heavy rain to central & southern Mexico by the weekend. With it staying more south now, that means that the moisture will not make its way into west Texas. The high pressure ridge will move east, over Louisiana, but we will remain dry this weekend, with sunny skies.
