We’ll experience clear skies & light wind on Saturday night, into Sunday morning. That means the air will get dangerously cold. We’ll watch as temperatures drop down to the single digits in our northern & northwestern counties. Lubbock will slide to 10° Sunday morning. Wind chill values will be in the negative numbers north of Lubbock & likely close to 0° in Lubbock. We’ll stay below freezing on Sunday, as Lubbock will only get to a high of 31°.
Monday morning will see dangerously cold air still in the area. There will be lows at 2°-6° northwest of Lubbock, as we drop to 11° here. Wind chill values will, once again, be in the negative numbers on Monday morning. Skies will be mostly sunny for Monday afternoon, but it will be a cold one. The high will reach 36°. So, be ready to bundle up in layers, starting tomorrow afternoon & lasting through Tuesday morning. It will be very cold out there!
