KLBK Midday Web Forecast December 7, 2016

We’ll get another very cold start to the day on Friday, with partly cloudy skies. We’ll bottom out in the low 20s again for Lubbock, with lows near 13°-17° off to the west & northwest. The wind will increase Friday to 10-15 mph by mid-morning. We will see the return of mostly sunny skies, but don’t be fooled. Friday will be a chilly one, with a high of only 45°, but it will feel like the upper 30s to low 40s. So, dress warm & get those heaters cranked up!

We’ll finally get spared & see warmer air return to the South Plains by Saturday afternoon. Skies will be sunny, but the wind will still hang on. The sustained wind will be at 10-15 mph from the south-southwest. With that flow pattern, Lubbock will be able to reach a high of 61°, which is going to be above average for December 10. So, get out & enjoy the nice day that we’ll see.
