By Sunday, the air will be warming up rather quickly. The wind will be picking up, as well. That is typical this time of year when we see warmer air coming into the area. The skies will be sunny, with Lubbock seeing a high of 70°, believe it, or not! It will feel cooler than that with the wind at 15-20 mph. Don’t get used to this warm air, as things will cool down quickly next week.
Highs will remain above average on Monday, after a weak cold front passes through the South & Rolling Plains. Lubbock is going to see sunny skies, with a high of 62°. The wind will be light behind this front. The stronger front will push in by the middle of the week. Highs will drop to the upper 40s, as of now. We could actually see lower high temperatures, so that is something to watch next week.
