Friday is going to be a very nice start to the weekend. The sunshine is really going to hang on. Not too much is going to change, in terms of high temperatures. That ridge of high pressure is still going to cling to Texas. Expect Lubbock to reach a high of 71°. The wind will be around 5-10 mph.
By Saturday, we will actually see another cold front move through the area. It will be pretty weak, but it will do enough to switch our wind & cool things down, slightly. Lubbock will get to 64° before it comes in during the afternoon. The wind will shift to the north & northeast, at 10-15 mph. We will still stay dry in the foreseeable future, which is causing some problems for the area. We really do need the rain!
