By Friday, the warm air is really going to be over head, thanks to an upper-level ridge of high pressure. Skies are going to remain sunny & the air will be dry, too. We start the day at 36°, which is above average, but it will feel chilly, so you’ll need to grab a jacket when you head out. However, the afternoon is going to see highs in the mid 70s. When you go home for lunch, you can ditch the jacket & enjoy the warmth.
The sunny skies & dry air will remain for Saturday afternoon. It’s looking like wind will stay at 5-10 mph. If this holds, it will be a wonderful start to the weekend. We’ll start the day at 38° in Lubbock. But the afternoon will see a high of 70°. It will feel warmer if that wind stays light, especially if you’re doing anything that requires work. Also, don’t forget the sunscreen!
