Very warm air will kick it into high gear by tomorrow afternoon. The wind will actually be quite light, with a lot of sunshine in the area. The ridge of high pressure will begin to move west, which keeps things dry here in Texas. With that ridge here, Lubbock will see a high of 78°, with low & mid 80s in the Rolling Plains.

By Thursday, we can nearly call it hot, especially for this time of year. The record high, for Lubbock, is 83° & it looks like that will be the high for Lubbock. So, we may tie, or break the record for Thursday afternoon. Friday & Saturday will still be very warm. Highs will be in the upper 70s on both days, mid 80s in the Rolling Plains. We may see some showers Monday morning, as highs are lower. Lubbock gets to 60°, which is normal.
