As we move into the second part of the weekend, we will finally see some changes to the forecast. A cold front will move through the area on Sunday. That is going to keep things partly sunny. It will also bring high temperatures way down from the end of the week. We will see highs only into the upper 60s for Sunday afternoon, with 10-15 mph wind out of the north-northeast.

Sunday night, around midnight, into the early part of Monday, may see some rain showers. These showers will be light & look to stay confined to the southeastern counties. So, it is looking like coverage will be very low. We desperately need the rain, but this won’t help us out much. Highs stay down on Monday, with mostly sunny skies. Lubbock will get to 62°, which is only two degrees above normal.
