The real cold air will hit us by Thursday morning. With clear skies & light wind, we will bottom out at 21°. That is a perfect recipe for a cold start to the day. The sun is going to shine again on Thursday, highs will slowly rise up to 55°, which is just below the normal of 56°. It will actually be a pretty nice afternoon.
Friday will see little change, really. The wind will be back up around 10-15 mph, we’ll get mostly sunny skies & it will be only slightly cooler, as Lubbock will see a high of 52°. The clouds will increase ahead of another low pressure system that is going to move in Friday night/Saturday morning. That will bring in colder conditions for the first half of the weekend.
