KLBK Midday Web Forecast Janbuary 29, 2016

We are under a ridge of high pressure, which will still hang on for Sunday. Expect Lubbock to reach a high of 70°, but the wind will be at 10-15 mph. So, at least the wind is slightly lower for Sunday. The ridge begins to break down Sunday night, as a cold front approaches from the northwest. That will change things for Monday.

The wind is going to be howling on Monday. Expect sustained wind to be at 25-35 mph, with gusts around 45-50 mph. We will see a very dry day, so there is going to be a lot of blowing dust around. Monday will be a great day to stay indoors! A stronger cold front will move in for Tuesday. This one will drop our highs down into the low 40s, with some sunshine.
