A weak cold front is going to pass through the area Wednesday night & into Thursday. This will just drop highs down into the upper 60s for the afternoon. That is still more than 10° above average, with more sunny skies. The bigger change will come Thursday night & into the morning Friday. A low pressure system to the west & southwest will pull in cold air from the north. That will give us change by Friday afternoon.
Friday is going to stay cloudy & it will get much colder. Expect highs to only be in the upper 30s. That low pressure system will also start to bring in rain Friday. It will actually be pretty cold rain showers for 30% of the area. That will freeze on surfaces by Saturday morning, as lows drop to the low 30s. So, watch out for slick spots on the roads Saturday morning. By late morning/early afternoon Saturday, that will change back to rain for 40% of the area.
