By Wednesday, the skies will be sunny & the air will be much warmer. Thankfully, the wind will stay light during the day, but that will change on Thursday. Anyways, with that sunshine & wind from the southwest, highs will be jumping up into the low 60s. That will be between five & eight degrees above average for this time of year. It will be a good day to get out & play golf, or just to enjoy the nice weather.
Things will change, once again, as we move into the day Thursday. Expect skies to be sunny & the air to be warm, but the wind is going to be the main issue. We’ll get a west wind, down sloping from the Sacramento Mountains in New Mexico. As the air sinks, it will warm & spread our way. The wind will be sustained at 20-25 mph, with highs getting up to the mid 60s. Lubbock will top out right at 66°.
