A weak cold front will move in by Thursday morning. That is going to bring in a wind shift. That wind shift will filter down some cold air from north & northwest. We will see highs fall back below normal during the afternoon Thursday. Lubbock is going to see a high of 51°, with upper 50s in the Rolling Plains & upper 40s in the northwestern counties.
Highs will continue to climb through the upper 50s on Friday afternoon, with a lot of sunshine. But, Saturday is going to be very, very warm. We will see a high of 69° in Lubbock. The Rolling Plains will easily reach the low 70s for highs. The wind will be at 10-15 mph, with gusts around 25 mph.
