We will see the wind increase on Friday, as the highs increase, too. The wind will get to 10-15 mph, with gusts around 25 mph. But, the real story is the warm air. Lubbock will see a high of 70° Friday afternoon, with the Rolling Plains looking at high in the mid 70s! These are the last few days of January, but we will be looking at springtime warmth!
Saturday is going to be the warmest day of this stretch. We’ll be looking at similar conditions to what we saw on Sunday. Lubbock is going to see a lot of sunshine, wind at 20-25 mph, with gusts to 40 mph & a high of 74°! The Rolling Plains will be looking at highs near 80°! This pattern is quiet unusual for late January.
