Thursday night & early Friday morning will see some Pacific moisture coming down into the South & Rolling Plains. There will be enough lift around for some light snow showers. The more likely spots will be north of Lubbock & Plainview, to Amarillo. Our northern row of counties may see up to an inch of accumulation on grassy surfaces, Lubbock may see a dusitng, at best. Otherwise, it will be cloudy & cold, with a high of only 25°.

Temperatures will start in the teens Friday & Saturday mornings. Saturday afternoon will actually see sunny skies with light wind. So, we will be able to see some warmer air come back into the area. However, highs will still be well below average. In fact, Lubbock will only get to a high of 41°, with upper 30s to the northwest & mid 40s in the Rolling Plains. So, it will still be chilly, but we’ll see a warm up by Monday & Tuesday.
