Moving through midweek, I will be sounding more like a broken record. We’ll see wind at 10-15 mph, with sunny skies & a high of 102° in Lubbock. The Rolling Plains will see highs closer to 104°, meanwhile, the western counties will be closer to 100°. Any clouds we do see Wednesday will only briefly give a break from the blistering sunshine. That sun is going to be the dominate feature this week.
The end of the week is going to see much of the same in terms of the heat & lack of clouds. The good news is that highs will begin to trend down as we move closer to the weekend. Lubbock will see a high of 101° Thursday & 100° on Friday. Just remember to stay safe out there if you’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors. Stay hydrated & wear plenty of sunscreen!
