Things will start to dry out for the day on Friday. The skies will remain mostly sunny. The wind is going to stay at 10-15 mph & highs will be lower than every other day this week. We will not set a new record high tomorrow, for once this week! Thunderstorms will be more isolated storms tomorrow afternoon, at 10%. So, we’re looking at lower coverage of those storms tomorrow.
The weekend is going to be dry & it will stay on the warm side. Saturday is going to be the hottest of the day, with Lubbock seeing a high of 100°. There will be highs at 102-103° in the Rolling Plains, with wind at 10-15 mph. Sunday is going to finally see highs, area wide, dropping down into the 90s. Lubbock is going to get to 99°. We are going to stay in the 90s for the start of the next work week, through midweek.
