We’ll finally see highs begin to lower by the end of the weekend. We’ll still have a fairly warm day on Sunday, with Lubbock seeing a high of 97°. There will be spots in the Rolling Plains that get to 100°, but not as many as Friday, or Saturday. By early next week, we’ll experience mostly sunny skies, with highs falling to the mid 90s, closer to average.
There is the question of if we’ll actually see rain next week. Right now, there are inconsistencies within the forecast models to accurately depict showers & storms next week. Obviously, it would be great to see rain in July. We really do need it. I did not include any percentages in the forecast. That is something to watch as we move through the weekend, to see if things become more clear, or not.
