For midweek, you guessed it. There will be mostly sunny skies across the South & Rolling Plains. Afternoon coverage of thunderstorms will stay at 10%. Lubbock will see a high of 102°, with wind at 10-15 mph. We’ll begin to see drier air push into the are late in the day, so any storms that do occur will be short-lived & will dissipate by late evening.
Thursday is going to stay dry, thanks to the influence of high pressure across west Texas. Skies will remain mostly sunny, with wind at 10-15 mph. Thursday’s high for Lubbock is going to be 101°. I am not expecting to see any thunderstorms in the area Thursday. So, we will just stay dry & very hot. Please stay safe this week, as the air is going to be extremely hot & we will see tons of sunshine.
