Friday will kick off the weekend with another round of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon & evening. Tired of me saying this yet? Highs will slowly begin to drop. But, with that said, Lubbock is still going to reach a high of 100°, with highs near 102-104° in the Rolling Plains. Remember all of the summer heat safety tips & stay safe in the hot air. Also, keep an eye out for lightning this weekend.
Saturday & Sunday will finally see high dropping back down to two digits. We’ll see highs in the mid 90s on Saturday, with a few triple digit readings in the Rolling Plains. Sunday will see highs in the upper 90s, with more triple digit heat in the Rolling Plains. Both days will, once again, get hit & miss thunderstorms in the afternoon & evening hours. Coverage will be 10%.
