By Saturday afternoon, expect there to be increasing clouds all across the area. With that moisture returning to the South & Rolling Plains, thunderstorms re-enter the forecast. Coverage of the storms will be 20%. Any storm will have heavy rain & we’ll see if there will be any hail producers. Otherwise, Saturday will be another warm day with a high of 95° in Lubbock, with upper 90s in the Rolling Plains.

We’re going to see mostly sunny skies for your Sunday. The wind is going to stay at 10-15 mph in the afternoon. The day will remain dry with highs in the upper 90s. There will be scattered triple digit readings in the Rolling Plains. Remember to stay hydrated & wear plenty of sunscreen while outdoors. Reapply that sunscreen several times! Independence Day is going to see another round of isolated thunderstorms. So, watch out for lightning Monday while you are enjoying the holiday.
