Wednesday will begin with lows in the mid 40s, which is above average. Above average is going to be a common phrase this week. We’ll keep things sunny & dry for the middle of the week. Wind will actually be at 5-10 mph, if you can believe that! With clear skies & high pressure in control, highs will be able to climb up into the mid 70s for the afternoon. But it will feel warmer.
80s return to the forecast by the latter part of the week & stay through the weekend. The wind will increase, again, by Thursday afternoon. The high pressure ridge will stay over west Texas, which means more sunshine & dry weather. We really do need the rain, but we will not see it this week. Highs will be in the lows 80s across the area, with mid 80s possible in the Rolling Plains.
