A weak cold front will move through the area by Wednesday morning. This will only drop highs down into the low 70s, which is still above average. The wind will be at 25-30 mph, that wind, along with dry air, will keep the fire danger elevated all week long. Be smart around open flames this week.

Another surge of colder air will be moving on in for Thursday. The sun will continue to shine, but highs will fall below average. Lubbock is going to see a high of 64° Thursday. Highs will be near 70° in the Rolling Plains & into the upper 50s & low 60s to the northwest. The wind will make things feel slightly colder than that, too!
