Thursday morning will begin with lows in the mid 50s, with wind increasing throughout the day. Sustained wind will be at 25-30 mph, with gusts to 45 mph in the afternoon. This is ahead of a stronger cold front that moves in overnight. We’ll see isolated thunderstorms after 7:00 pm. Any storm, especially east of Lubbock, will have large hail & obviously strong wind. We’ll see a high of 82°.

The window for thunderstorms Thursday night & Friday morning will be from 7:00 pm Thursday to 1:00 am Friday. After 1:00 am, we will clear out, as that cold front moves in. Temperatures will drop to the upper 40s by sunrise Friday. The rest of the day will see wind at 25-30 mph, gusting to 50 mph in the afternoon. That will kick up some dust at times. Otherwise, expect a sunny day, with a high of 72°.
