By tomorrow morning, a cold front will begin to work its way in from the north. We’ll see it pass through the entire area by tomorrow evening. The wind is going to be higher on Wednesday. It will be sustained at 30-40 mph, with gusts near 55 mph! That is almost severe thunderstorm wind criteria. That is how high the wind will blow tomorrow. Highs will drop to the low 70s.
Thursday, we’ll still see sunny skies, but the wind will only be at 5-10 mph. Cooler air will surge in from the northwest, thanks to another, weak cold front & low pressure system. Highs will drop below normal, reaching only the mid 60s for Lubbock, low 60s northwest & upper 60s in the Rolling Plains.
