There will be leftover thunderstorms on Wednesday, generally in the morning & only at 10%. We’ll begin to clear out & cool down, as a Pacific cold front sweeps in. That front will take the severe weather east Wednesday afternoon & evening. We will see mostly sunny skies, with wind at 10-15 mph in the afternoon. Lubbock will see a below average high of 69°. It will feel more like the low 60s with that wind.

We’ll see warmer air on Thursday afternoon, as the wind stays at 10-15 mph. The highest wind will reach 25 mph in the afternoon hours. High pressure returns Thursday, ahead of another cold front that will impact the area by the weekend. Under sunny skies, highs will be in the low & mid 70s across the area. The wind will make it feel more like the mid 60s.
