By Sunday, the warmer air returns & so does the wind! We will be under partly sunny skies, which is why we will start at 51° as you head out in the morning. By the afternoon, the wind will be up to 20-25 mph, with highs in the low 80s, again. The only issue on Sunday will be that wind, so just keep that in mind.
Monday’s big problem will be a lot of wind & blowing dust. It will still remain warm, as Lubbock will see a high of 76°. But, the wind will be blowing at 25-30 mph, with gusts to 45 mph. A stronger cold front will come in for Tuesday. This will bring some showers & thunderstorms to 20% of the area late Tuesday & into Wednesday morning. We will see the rain end before noon Wednesday. Highs will fall to the mid 60s Tuesday & upper 50s Wednesday.
