The air will quickly warm up midweek as we see wind returning from the south-southwest at 10-15 mph. The higher wind gusts will approach 35 mph on Wednesday afternoon. We’ll begin to see high pressure build back in over west Texas. This means dry air will stick around, with highs getting back into the upper 70s. The Rolling Plains will get into the low 80s.
Thursday afternoon will look at passing clouds, mixed with plenty of sunshine. The air will only get warmer, as we will reach a high of 80° once more. The Rolling Plains will reach the mid 80s, while the northwestern counties will see highs in the mid & upper 70s. The wind will be coming back from the southwest at 10-15 mph, with the higher end gusts reaching 30 mph.
