Tomorrow afternoon will clear out & we’ll begin to see the warmer air come back, as it should for May. The wind will increase tomorrow up to 10-15 mph. The highest wind will reach 20 mph, at times. With the sunshine & southerly wind, Lubbock will see a high of 81°. High will climb to the upper 80s for the Rolling Plains. Friday will be dry, so get out & enjoy the afternoon.
Saturday is looking to be very similar to Friday, but the wind will be higher. Sustained wind is looking to be at 10-20 mph throughout the day. The skies will remain mostly sunny, with Lubbock seeing a high of 86°. With the dry line moving east, I can’t rule out a stray thunderstorm Saturday afternoon, especially in the Rolling Plains. Coverage is less than 10%.
