KLBK Midday Web Forecast May 3, 2016

As we move into the end of the week, that ridge of high pressure will be staying strong over Texas. Therefore, we will see much warmer air flowing into west Texas. Expect highs to climb into the upper 80s for Lubbock & areas on the Caprock. There will be 90° readings for highs in the Rolling Plains for Thursday & Friday, Wind increases, as well. The wind will be up to 20-25 mph by Friday.

Highs will moderate by Saturday. We are looking at a sunny, warm & windy afternoon. Lubbock will see a high of 85°, which isn’t bad at all for early May. Highs will approach 90° in the Rolling Plains, again. So, if you’re planning on getting outdoors, make sure to have that sunscreen & sunglasses. Aside from the wind, at least it’ll be sunny & warm.
