The air is going to warm up as we move into the end of the week and weekend. We’re still going to expect a chilly start to the day Friday, with low temperatures dropping down into the mid 40s across the South Plains. The afternoon is going to be great, as we see sunny skies, light wind and dry air. We’ll see a high of 81°. I know that we need the rain, but at least we can enjoy a nice day without the wind blowing constantly.
As we move into the day Saturday, things won’t be as cold in the morning. We’ll start the day in the low 50s for most of the area. The wind will be on the rise throughout the day. It will be sustained at 10-15 mph, with occasional gusts to 25 mph. Skies will be sunny for Lemonade Day and Lubbock will get to a high temperature of 87°. So, get out and hit up several lemonade stands across the city and help out the kids!
