There will be lingering scattered thunderstorms during the day Thursday in the southeastern counties. Coverage is dropping down to 30%. We’ll see clearing from northwest to southeast during the day. With that said, behind the cold front, highs will only be in the mid 70s again. Wind will be light, but things will certainly be starting out on the cool side for June.
Friday & the weekend are all shaping up to be nice. We will see mostly sunny skies across the area on Friday. With the sunshine, highs will be able to reach 80° for Lubbock. We’ll see highs in the low 80s to the northwest & southeast. The rest of the weekend will see mostly sunny skies & highs in the mid 80s. So, the weather will be great for the college baseball playoffs.
