Saturday will still be mostly sunny during the day. High pressure begins to move east. The upper low over the Four Corners will progress to the northeast. This will try to bring in moisture to our area. However, it’s looking like the moisture return will be weak. We’ll see dew points in the 40s. With highs getting into the upper 80s, that means that there is not good moisture & dry air is winning out. Temperature & dew point will be more than 40° apart.
After 6:00 Saturday evening, the dry line will come back west. As it does, we’ll see some isolated storms trying to get going in the Rolling Plains. Since moisture will be lacking, these storms will have a hard time gaining strength. A storm, or two, will have some large hail, but it’s looking less likely as of today. The best severe threat will be across eastern Colorado & Kansas.
