Any thunderstorms we see in the area Saturday night will clear by 1:00 am Sunday. Mother’s Day is looking to be sunny, warm, but windy. The high in Lubbock is looking to reach 87°. The problem is sustained wind at 25-35 mph, with gusts near 50 mph. So, probably not a great idea to wear a dress, or skirt for the moms. The wind will stay elevated all the way through the early morning hours Monday.
Monday is looking to stay sunny, dry & windy. The wind will be at 15-20 mph. We will be under high pressure, once again, so highs will be in the mid 80s for Lubbock & near 90° in the Rolling Plains. So, there’s really not a great day to get outdoors over the weekend, or into early next week. If you can, somehow, manage the wind, then enjoy the day tomorrow. Otherwise, don’t blow away on Sunday!
