KLBK Midday Web Forecast November 16, 2016

There will be a strong cold front passing through the area very early on Friday morning. It’ll come into the South Plains by midnight & clear the area by sunrise. Behind it, the wind will be up at 10-20 mph & very cold air will arrive. We’ll see a high of only 57° on Friday, but with the wind, it will feel more like the upper 40s. So, dress warm & dress in layers on Friday, because it will be cold!

Lubbock will see its first freeze of the Autumn season on Saturday morning. The skies will be clear & the wind drops to the light category. Those are perfect ingredients for very cold air this time of year. We’ll drop down to 28° in Lubbock, just before 7:00 am. Lows will be closer to 21°, or 22° to the northwest. So, bring in the pets & plants on Friday, just to make sure they’re safe.
