Thanksgiving is shaping up to be a gorgeous day. There will be another weak cold front that will pass through early in the day. The sun will be dominant with no clouds to get in its way. Highs will jump back up farther above average. Lubbock will get to 69° for the high. Highs will be in the low & mid 70s off the Caprock. So, things will be better this year than what we saw a year ago.
With clear skies & light wind overnight into Friday morning, things will get very cold. Lubbock will drop below freezing, getting to 31°. Many spots on the Caprock will be in the mid 20s. So, if you’re doing Black Friday shopping early on Friday morning, dress in layers because it is going to get very cold out there. Cover all exposed skin. Skies will be mostly sunny on Friday afternoon, with a high of 61°.
